“You will recognize your own path when you come upon it, because you will suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need.” -Jerry Gillies
Teaching yoga, facilitating life changes, witnessing those deep and humorous ‘aha’ moments. This is my calling, my vocation, and my daily invocation of gratitude and reverence.
I was never a gymnast or a dancer,or the traditional athlete. I think maybe I made ‘alternate’ on the cheering squad in my small high school. Instead I rode horses, took a lot of falls, never stretched, and had a terrible diet for much of my life. I also had chronic pain in my joints and my low back.
I have 3 kids, and though I had practiced yoga for about 10 years, it was the birth of my youngest child, accompanied by a physical and emotional life-change that prompted me to delve deeper into my practice, and the path of teaching emerged from the tangled underbrush that was my life situation. When I experienced the true benefits of this practice, I felt compelled to pass it on.
